Description
ToothPike Games is a small, independent game studio developing short, systemic games.
History
Early historyToothPike Games was founded in January 2020 by two students, Jordan Faas-Bush and Grant Doney. They met through several game development classes at their university, where they worked as part of a larger team to develop Grave Shadows, a third person, noir, detective game. Grave Shadows was chosen as one of five finalist teams from colleges across the US for the E3 2019 College Game Competition. Validated by their success and tired by the idea of entering an industry full of crunch and abusive practices, Grant and Jordan decided to form ToothPike Games. ToothPike Games is a studio dedicated to doing things differently from the large companies. Doing otherwise would be like bringing a toothpick to a gunfight.
CurrentlyToothPike Games develops its games around the love of system driven games that Jordan and Grant share. Currently they're hard at work developing the studio's first commercial release, Load Roll Die, a roguelite dice-building game.
